ELB is filling our rosters for next school year and we need your help. Not everyone knows that we have classrooms with typically developing kids and kids with Down syndrome. Not everyone realizes how to describe the benefits of this type of classroom for all kids. Sometimes we get asked “why?” Why should a child without disabilities go to your school, will they get good instruction too? These are valid questions. Inclusion teaches children how to interact with kids that are different, how to communicate in ways other than words, how to be a good friend, and how to be a leader. ELB has small classes with low ratios so we are able to meet the needs of any student and help them make progress. Our typically developing students often enter public school as children that are kind, compassionate, and well prepared academically. It is through you that we can share who we are and what we do. Help us grow by telling three people about us - a friend, an expecting parent, a doctor in the community.
