January brought ELB some exciting new things. We started getting in all of the sensory items we ordered with the Robert & Evelyn McKee Foundation and Dr. Capshaw with UTEP’s OT department is training our staff on integrating sensory input into our regular routines. We ordered Tripp Trapp chairs and new tables which are specifically recommended for proper eating support and help us to integrate the S.O.S. feeding approach we have learned about. Come on over and take a little swing on one of our new sensory hammocks and then crash down on our new crash pad! The sensory input we’re designing helps kids to be ready for learning.We are so excited to continue developing our program to meet the needs of our students.
A big thank you to the Milton & Jean Feinberg Foundation and EP Dentistry 4 Kids for their recent donations. These funds will help to support the daily instruction of our kiddos. Speaking of which, we have completely filled the Littles class! We have 2 spots left in our Toddlers class and 4 spots left in the Bigs class. With the voucher application opening up for parents in February we hope to fill our remaining openings by next school year. We want you to know how much we appreciate YOUR support because without YOU, this program would not be possible. Our parents thank you for helping to make ELB an option for them.
